The Ring

The ring is circular and as such represents the geometric symbol that has no beginning and no end.

Some years ago, my mother let me have a ring she had that was a lovely 14k gold with an oval shape of a decorative nature which had a semi-precious stone of purple color.

If you are into symbolism the purple represents a higher consciousness or awareness of a spiritual or metaphysical nature.

I enjoyed wearing that ring on various occasions and was wearing it one day when I went to the grocery store. When I came home and put the bags and groceries away, I realized the ring was missing. I trotted back to the store, left messages, walked all over the parking lot and around the driveway here. I searched everywhere conceivable in the house and out of the house and at the clubhouse, etc. No ring.

Then just before the end of 2016, I was in my treatment room clearing out the closet and doing a major sweep, wash, vacuuming event and moving small cabinets around.

In one of them, in the drawer, all by its lonesome, was that ring! This was after several years. It was amazing and I knew perfectly well I had not put it there. My mother was not moving around much those days either and she certainly did not find it or I would have heard about it quickly!

I have pondered over that and decided it was one of those teaching events. The ring and all it represents metaphorically, seeking and finding the higher meaning of things got me to thinking it was kept out of my reach until such time as I had developed in a more serious nature my own philosophy and acceptance of various various life experiences.

Each time significant events happened that caused undue worry, stress and discomfort for others either those in my family, church, or for those who come to me for spiritual counseling as well as hypnosis services to relieve stress, pass exams, et al. I found myself exploring more and more what created these situations for others and how to help them.

So many times, it appeared that others did all the right things in the right time for the right reasons and still had extraordinary difficulties in their own relations, work, or other situations.

I found myself investigating more and more the outcomes relative to how they think, what their expectations are, how their thoughts affect their own body chemistry and whatever else was going on in our Universe and the effects that it has on others.

I find I come back to the belief that we all come here to learn. Each person has chosen before entering this life, a particular life lesson to work through. The events that occur do not necessarily have to do with positive or negative thinking.

It seems they have more to do with how each individual is going to view and react to what occurs in their lives.

I have worked with many people who are missing a parent from a very young age, including my own daughter.

It seems these individuals grow up or rather mature rather quickly and early and develop their own amazing ways of dealing with life. They are independent, resourceful, and no matter what else chaotic happens, they land on their feet.

Others have the benefit of both parents who encourage and support their endeavors and they go on to do great creative things and take on a leadership role.

Still others have everything or so it appears and fall flat on their face, letting you know it was this, that or the other one’s fault.

It’s fascinating but it’s as if all of us come to the earth schools ready for elementary, junior high, high school, or college and beyond in our higher selves.

However, in recent years, as I observe the new babies and young children, I get the feeling they are very, very, very old souls and have a wisdom and niceness about them so far beyond their years. It really is as if they are here to teach the rest of us how it is supposed to be: loving one another, respecting one another and seeing the beauty and perfection in each and every one of us.

When I see this, I think back to the ring: that symbol of unending and everlasting eternal space from which we come and to which we return. It is a place of sacred power and knowing.

May each and every one find their own sacred space and reach for the truth that sets us all free, before they return through the ring back to eternity.

Blessings, Gloria

I love the story! and sometimes like you say, we don’t understand why things happen the way they do but they and I call them glitches like on the phone or computer. Life lessons are always present if we choose to self reflect.
Voila! Victory to us! Victory is ours!
